Don’t apologize to service workers

just tip them.

if you’re gonna be like “hahaha sorry for ordering complicated things” or “hahahaha sorry to inconvenience you” you should literally be putting dollars in the tip jar.

@soft if they give you a surprise discount for being a regular or just whatever, be cool about it and tip way extra

@triz @soft my rule of thumb is to tip them what they discounted me. I was going to spend that money anyway, might as well help a fellow worker out.

A tradition that started in high school when my friends would give us their employee discount at Bennigans.

@soft Even if they're shitty or impatient. Tip. Them. Plenty.

Tips are basically a replacement for wages(at least in the US). Consider your tip a part of the cost of the service.

@soft i mean u can say sorry too. but the tipping is not a polite suggestion.

@JohnBrownJr i mean absolutely yes apologize if needed
but most people think they can apologize and that's Good Enough, so if you're going to pick just one it's /not/ apologizing lol

@JohnBrownJr what i'm /really/ saying here is that being apologetic does not mean shit if you're not tipping.
